Faculty-Led Trip To Japan
Students in this year's Honors Academy and Broyhill Leaders will have a unique opportunity to travel to Japan in March 2020 to experience the rich culture and history of this dynamic country.
With a model of efficiency that has led the way through decades of technological innovation, Japan fosters a business environment deserving of admiration. During the study tour, LR students will see how this small archipelago can reveal so many natural, cultural, and historic wonders from the feudal castles of Nagoya to the cherry blossoms of Kyoto.
- 15 LR students are taking classes to prepare for this trip
- The goal is to raise $30,000 to help lower the cost of the trip for LR students so they can participate in the cultural exploration of a lifetime
- The trip allows students to continue their education while observing the business practices of a global economic leader
- Faculty mentors include Dr. Craig Schreiber, Dr. Katie Fisher, Dr. Sarah Nelson, and Dr. Veronica McComb
Help Support Student Learning
Many of the students in the Honors Academy and Broyhill Leaders do not have the financial ability to pay for international travel and will be unable to participate in the trip. While the university is dedicating funds to help offset the expenses, we need your help.
Please consider a donation to support these students. Our goal is to raise $30,000 to help cover the costs of ground transportation, air travel, lodging, meals, and other expenses.
