• University Storm Recovery Updates

    UPDATE: Tuesday, Oct. 29, 8:30 a.m.
We are pleased to announce that Wi-Fi service has been restored to the Asheville Center. Current students, faculty, and staff may now access the building for study, work or other necessary activities. Please note there may be occasional short outages as our service provider continues the recovery process.

Drinking water is not available in the building. Some bottled water is available on site, but we encourage anyone using the building to bring their own drinking water if possible. The bathrooms on site now have working toilets.

We appreciate your patience and understanding as we navigate the challenges posed by Hurricane Helene. Please stay tuned for further updates.

Alumni Chapters

The Office of Alumni Engagement will pilot alumni chapters in Atlanta and Charlotte over the next two years. This will give us an opportunity to develop a standard for more alumni chapters to form in the future. Our hope is that by opening alumni chapters, it will make it easier for alumni to feel connected to LR while living outside the Hickory area.

The Alumni Association is here to promote fellowship and community among alumni, as well as build, maintain and enhance the relationship between LR and its alumni. Consequently, the purpose of the alumni chapter is to encourage an organized effort to become more knowledgeable and actively support Lenoir-Rhyne University. All LR alumni are automatically members of the Alumni Association.

The Office of Alumni Engagement is hoping to establish a new alumni chapter in North Carolina in 2023. Check back here in the new year to see if an alumni chapter is coming to your area.

Chapter membership is open to all LR alumni, degree and non-degree holders, without the collection of dues.
