Tripp York is a visiting assistant professor at Lenoir-Rhyne University. He teaches religion and theology.

An author and educator, Tripp previously held positions at Virginia Wesleyan University, Western Kentucky University, Old Dominion University, and Elon University. His writings have appeared in numerous magazines, journals and edited books. His 11 books span the diverse genres of nonfiction, novellas and even a children’s book, and cover subjects such as animals, martyrdom, politics, violence, religious satire and comics. Along with his partner Carly York, they operate a small farm animal sanctuary where they also host house shows for touring punk rock bands.
