    Happy graduation week! If you still need your rain tickets or honor cords, they will be available for you at check-in on Friday (Hickory campus).

    Student check-in is Friday at 4:30 p.m. in Shuford Arena. Guests are asked to be in their seats by 5:30 p.m.

Mathematics Minor

Regardless of your major, a minor in math can supplement your degree by sharpening logic and analytical skills.

If you are interested in mathematics but do not want to commit to the in-depth study a major requires, consider a minor instead.

You will sharpen your analytical skills and further develop your ability to think logically—skills employers value. Coursework in our minor includes discrete math as well as calculus, along with higher level mathematics classes of your choice.

Not only does a minor in mathematics look impressive on your resume, but it can improve your chances of being accepted into a professional school, including business administration, law school or medical school.
