Music Performance Minor
Nurture your lifelong passion for performing music and enhance the study of your instrument or voice.
Perhaps you studied music in high school and want to continue to exercise your talents or want to balance your demanding major with a creative outlet. Our minor in Music Performance prepares you with a performing proficiency in organ, piano, voice, or any of the orchestral instruments (brass, winds, strings, percussion).
Our coursework allows you to hone your skills as it focuses on the important fundamentals of music. Courses also include an emphasis on classical music, allowing you to fully appreciate the traditional art form.
Students pursuing this intensive minor study the art, history and theory of music while they hone their vocal or instrumental skills through individual lessons with an expert faculty member and participation in ensembles.
