Center for Teaching & Learning

Providing ongoing faculty development in the pursuit of excellence in teaching and learning.

The center offers ongoing faculty development and individual consultations in a range of areas related to teaching, pedagogy, and scholarship. Center support enables faculty to be innovative and creative in ways that enhance student learning.

Based in the Rudisill Library on the Hickory campus, the center works with faculty on program development and fosters peer-learning opportunities amongst faculty bringing together a variety of different specialties and approaches empowering faculty to help each other and every student succeed.

The CTL is incredibly helpful to my work as an instructor and even more broadly as a faculty member interested in the scholarship of teaching and learning.

Amy Hedrick, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Psychology
