Faculty & Staff Resources

  • Advising Resources

Faculty and staff can find information about advising, related academic policies as well as important advising contacts alongside other faculty resources on the LR Portal. The university catalog is also a great resource.

  • Student Alert & Referral Form

Faculty may alert us when students have attendance, academic performance or other issues using the student alert form available in the LR Portal. This form automatically notifies support staff across several different offices, including: the Office of Student Success, the Dean of Students, the director of counseling services and the director of the Learning Commons.

In most cases, staff members from the Office of Student Success will reach out to the student, connect the student with appropriate resources, and then follow up with the instructor or staff member. In cases involving mental health issues, counseling services will reach out directly to the student, but there may not be any follow-up with faculty or staff.

  • University Care Team

The care team is a group of faculty and staff from across the university who work collaboratively to provide intervention, resources and assistance to undergraduate students who are struggling with university life and have been referred by one or more persons or offices.

The purpose of the team is to provide a second line of support to students, including those who have not been responsive to initial outreach. Members of the team include representatives from the faculty, health and counseling services, student life, campus ministry, multicultural affairs, athletics and student success.
