Patty Hickham

Patty Hickham is completing her dissertation and Ph.D. in Counseling and Counselor Education at University of North Carolina, Greensboro. Hickman specializes in trauma counseling and the integration of neuroscience into the counseling field. She has training in EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Play Therapy. She has clinical experience in community agency settings and college counseling centers.

Hickham owns a private practice, Magnolia Counseling, as an LCMHCA in North Carolina. She has experience teaching a variety of mental health courses, as well as supervising counselors in training from a trauma-informed perspective.
