Frank Quinn

Frank Quinn has been at Lenoir-Rhyne since 2018 as the dean of library services. Previously, he held library management positions at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego and Indiana University in Bloomington. At LR, he has provided leadership in adopting open educational resources by faculty and focused on various library technology enhancements, among them the integration of the popular Summon discovery tool. 

Quinn’s professional and research interests are in censorship and intellectual freedom, library collection development, the provision of reference and information services and the evolutionary future of academic libraries. 

His professional engagement has most recently been with the Association of College and Research Libraries of the American Library Association, the North Carolina Independent Colleges and Universities Library Collaborative, the Appalachian College Association and the Association of Christian Librarians.
