Doug Minor

Doug Minor serves as associate vice president for marketing and communications at Lenoir-Rhyne. Since fall 2019, Minor has led the university’s marketing and communications team, which connects Lenoir-Rhyne with various audiences through an integrated and expanding array of print and digital marketing communications.

His primary focus is on building and supporting a comprehensive marketing communications strategy that elevates the institutional brand to support the strategic plan for enrollment growth, student retention, alumni and donor engagement and telling the LR story.

Most recently, he served as senior director of digital strategy at Queens University of Charlotte. Prior to his role at Queens, Minor worked as director of digital communications at Davidson College in Davidson, North Carolina. He directed the award-winning redesign, rebranding and digital strategy for Davidson's website and social media presence. Under his leadership at Davidson, the college received a national Circle of Excellence Award from the Council for Advancement and Support of Education and four awards from CASE District III. These awards recognized the innovative use of digital communications and video in student recruitment, advancement communications and social media strategy, among other areas.

Minor worked 12 years at both Saint Anselm College in Manchester, New Hampshire, and Colby-Sawyer College in New London, New Hampshire. At Saint Anselm, he directed the college's digital efforts and was recognized with multiple CASE District I and Telly Awards for institutional digital communications and video projects.
