Seasonal Development Assistant


Position Title: Seasonal Development Assistant
Department: Office of Advancement
Wage Class: Hourly, Temporary, October – February (extension TBD)
Rate: $12/hour, 15-20 hours per week, flexible work schedule
Reports To: Susan Quinn, Executive Director of Advancement Services

General Description/Primary Purpose

This position contributes to the success of the university’s fundraising initiatives by supporting gift entry, records management, receipting and related tasks during one of the busiest seasons of the fundraising year. The position will work with confidential information to create and enter data into university systems and will provide general recordkeeping support.

Description of Duties and Tasks

  • Assist with gift entry: scan documents, key information into the database, prepare mailings, file and maintain records
  • Work with large spreadsheets, perform simple reconciliations
  • Use mail merge tools, produce and prepare complex mailings
  • Provide additional clerical support as needed

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Excellent keyboarding skills
  • Must be proficient working with spreadsheets, mail merge
  • Prior office or data entry experience in a fast paced environment a plus
