Development Assistant, Part-Time
Wage Class: Hourly, Part-Time, Temporary
Reports To: Executive Director of Advancement
Rate: $16/hour, 15-20 hours per week
Location: Hickory, NC (on-site)
This position supports the university’s fundraising efforts through gift entry, records management, receipting and related tasks. The role works with confidential information to record gifts in university systems.
Job Duties
- Assist with data entry, including scanning documents, preparing mailings, and filing and maintaining records.
- Work with large spreadsheets and perform basic reconciliations.
- Use mail merge tools, produce and prepare complex mailings.
- Provide additional clerical support as needed.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- High School Diploma or GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent keyboarding skills.
- Must be proficient working with spreadsheets and mail merge tools.
- Prior office or data-entry experience are a plus.
