Visiting Instructor/Assistant Professor for the School of Education


The Lenoir-Rhyne University School of Education (Hickory Campus) seeks applications for a non-tenure track, visiting faculty appointment at the rank of Instructor or Assistant Professor based upon experience and credentials. Appointment begins August 2022.

Teaching responsibilities include coursework and clinical supervision for undergraduate education students in the fall and spring with the potential for summer teaching assignments. A master’s degree in education or associated field is required (terminal degree preferred). Candidates must possess credentials and experience in K-12 public or private education with a preference for candidates with expertise in issues of educational equity and inclusion as well as K-12 classroom praxis. Evidence of exemplary teaching experience and the ability to develop and deliver courses utilizing online and other non-traditional pedagogies is required. Experience with edTPA is desirable. Successful candidates will display a commitment and capacity for teaching excellence, student mentorship, collaborative work, and scholarly and professional engagement.
