First Destinations for the class of 2024


Results for the First Destination Survey for the class of 2024 indicate remarkable success in their post-graduation endeavors, with an impressive 98% of 2024 graduates achieving "full engagement" within six months of commencement. This designation, encompassing full-time employment or enrollment in graduate school, highlights the effectiveness of the university's academic preparation and comprehensive support systems. The 2024 survey continues a trend of impressive success, with the classes of 2023 and 2022 reporting a 97% “full engagement” rate and the class of 2021 reporting 96%.

The First Destination Survey, conducted annually by the Office of Institutional Advancement in accordance with guidelines from the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE), reveals strong outcomes for the graduating class. While national data for the class of 2024 is pending, this figure significantly surpasses the 85% engagement rate reported nationally for the class of 2023.

"These outstanding First Destination Survey results for our class of 2024 speak volumes about the quality of a Lenoir-Rhyne education and the dedication of our students, faculty and staff," stated Dr. Fred Whitt, president of Lenoir-Rhyne University. "The fact that 98% of our graduates are successfully employed full-time or continuing their education within six months of graduation clearly demonstrates the value and relevance of an LR degree and the strong return on investment it provides."

The survey data illustrates the diverse career paths and advanced educational pursuits undertaken by the class of 2024. Prominent regional employers welcoming Lenoir-Rhyne graduates include Frye Regional Medical Center, Catawba Valley Medical Center, Carolina Handling, Charlotte Water, MDI, Queen City Immigration Law and Capstone Logistics.

Graduates pursuing further education have enrolled in a range of institutions, including the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, North Carolina State University, Wake Forest University, Appalachian State University, Utah State University and Lenoir-Rhyne University.

These results underscore Lenoir-Rhyne's ongoing commitment to providing a robust academic foundation and comprehensive support, effectively preparing students for successful transitions into their chosen careers or advanced studies.
