We're excited to welcome back the classes of 1970 and 1971 for their 50th class reunion, the classes of 1980 and 1981 for their 40th class reunion and the classes of 1995 and 1996 for their 25th class reunion!
COVID Update Lenoir-Rhyne University is committed to providing a safe environment for everyone and will follow state and local guidelines for COVID-19 safety for our events. As of August 27, we are planning to hold our Reunion events as outlined here. There is currently a mask requirement in place on campus. Everyone, regardless of vaccination status, must wear a mask inside. People who are not vaccinated also should wear a mask outside. We will continue to monitor the situation to ensure that events can be held safely and will post any updates here.
Classes of 1970 & 1971

The classes of 1970 and 1971 will celebrate their 50th class reunion the weekend of Oct. 8-9, 2021. The two classes will join together for a reunion dinner on the Hickory campus Friday evening. There will be an opportunity on Saturday for both classes to gather before the home football game against Tusculum at 1 p.m.

Bears Club Pavilion
The planning committees understand that many of their classmates may have concerns about gathering in person. As a result, the 1970 and 1971 reunion planning committees have decided to hold a joint 50th reunion celebration in the Bears Club Pavilion. This open-air, spacious venue will provide plenty of opportunities for outdoor dining, mingling, and adequate air movement.
The evening will begin with a cocktail hour with light appetizers and drinks. A buffet dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. This event is sure to take alumni back to their college years and help relive all their favorite memories! $40 per person includes, light appetizers, buffet dinner, and dessert. A cash bar will be available. Registration required.

Alex and Lee George Hall
A lot has changed on campus since the early 1970s. Alumni and their guests are invited to get an inside look at the new Alex and Lee George Hall that was completed in late 2017 and houses the School of Natural Sciences. Anyone wishing to take part in the tour should meet in front of Alex and Lee George Hall, across from Fritz Conrad. The tour will begin promptly at 10 a.m. No registration required.
50th Reunion Tailgate Lunch | 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m.
Fritz Conrad Back Patio
Continue your reunion celebration with a joint 50th reunion lunch with the classes of 1970 and 1971. This special event will take place on the newly renovated Fritz Conrad back patio and include a complimentary tailgate style lunch before the home football game. Drop in anytime between 11:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. Registration required.
Football Game vs. Tusculum | 2 p.m.
Cheer on the Bears at the home football game against the Tusculum Pioneers. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased online or at the gate the day of the game.

Enjoy reserved tables for your classes at the Friday night kick-off event. Saturday brings the traditional Homecoming events like the parade, alumni tailgate, and home football game against Limestone.
The two classes will celebrate together with a reunion event on Saturday evening.
Cutter worked in admissions at Lenoir-Rhyne while working on his master's, and then he entered the seminary. He has served churches in Ohio and South Carolina, while also serving as campus pastor at Newberry College.
