Walter Kennedy

Walter Kennedy joined Lenoir-Rhyne as fraternity and sorority life area coordinator in residence life in July 2023. In this role, Kennedy coordinates fraternity and sorority life programming at LR, educates, empowers and mentors councils and chapters in the Greek community and maintains designated on-campus residential spaces.

Prior to joining LR, Kennedy found his passion for mentoring young Black men on college campuses. He helped establish the Morgan Male Initiative on Leadership and Excellence (MILE) and the Black Male Collaborative, designed to bring together Black male initiatives at Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCU) and predominately white institutions (PWI). Kennedy also served as the on-campus advisor and a proud Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity, Inc. member.

Outside of higher education, Kennedy is a praise and worship leader and serves on International Committees for Alpha Nu Omega Fraternity, Inc.
