Erica Chandler joined Lenoir-Rhyne as registrar in January 2025, bringing more than 20 years of experience in higher education, with a background spanning admission, enrollment management, student advising and registrar services.
In her role as university registrar, Chandler works closely with admission, financial aid, business services and student advising to streamline processes and enhance the overall student experience. She is skilled in leveraging technology, improving operational efficiency and promoting inclusive practices that support students, faculty and staff alike.
Chandler has a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and has trained teams on FERPA guidelines to ensure institutional adherence. She is also well-versed in systems such as SEVIS, the National Student Clearinghouse and VA student certification, all of which contribute to the efficient and compliant functioning of the Registrar’s Office.
A dedicated advocate for equity in the workplace, Chandler has collaborated with colleagues to provide unconscious bias training and foster respectful, inclusive environments. She routinely reviews university policies and procedures to ensure alignment with institutional standards and goals.
Before joining LR, Chandler served as registrar at several liberal arts and professional institutions, most recently at Baptist Health Sciences University in Memphis. Her professional background also includes roles in admission, advising and compliance.
