Eric Brandon

Eric Brandon has been working in higher education for more than 30 years and has served in various positions over that time at Lenoir-Rhyne University and Methodist University. In a career marked by increasing responsibilities, Brandon has worked in his current role, director of international admission and special projects, since 2012, assisting current and prospective undergraduate and graduate students with their enrollment and immigration procedures. In addition, he has deep compassion for students facing challenges with attending a college or university in the U.S.

In 2004, he received the Jeff Norris Staff Employee of the Year Award, designated to honor individuals who make significant contributions to the university's mission, most notably in developing and improving the student experience related to academics, personal and spiritual growth.

In his spare time, Brandon has never been hesitant to lend a helping hand in any way possible to his community. He has served on advisory boards for the March of Dimes, LR's Alumni Board, Leadership Catawba, Greater Hickory International Council, City of Hickory's Bond Implementation and Parks, Recreation and Sports Tourism Commissions, Young People of Integrity and participated in a variety of professional organizations.

Brandon is an avid sports enthusiast, and in college, he lettered in two sports, football and track, was the team captain and student coach. He earned all-conference and district honors.

The Durham, North Carolina native, grew up with eleven other siblings. He has also lived on the west coast and traveled to eight different countries.
