Lunch & Learn: A Healthy Mindset for the New Year
January 28, 2026

In this one-hour Lunch & Learn, alumna and nationally board certified health and wellness coach Liz Becker MBA ’23 shared a simple, science-backed framework designed to align intentions with daily actions — without relying on willpower or rigid resolutions.

Becker guided participants through three practical mindset shifts that make healthy habits more sustainable:

  • Continuum Thinking — letting go of all-or-nothing patterns
  • Approach Mindset — focusing on what to add rather than restrict
  • Environmental Design — creating small setups that build lasting momentum

This workshop encouraged reflection, flexible thinking and small, realistic steps that support meaningful change.

This webinar was sponsored by the Lenoir-Rhyne University Office of Alumni Engagement and the Alex Lee Career & Professional Development Center.
