Throughout the 2026-27 academic year, Lenoir-Rhyne University will celebrate 135 years of educating leaders, serving communities and transforming lives. LR 135 will honor the people, traditions and moments that have shaped the university while looking ahead to the opportunities and possibilities of its next chapter.

The yearlong celebration will include LR’s 135th Birthday Celebration, 135 Fun Facts highlighting the university’s history, the 135 for 135 annual giving campaign and special anniversary recognition at signature events throughout the year. Alumni, students, faculty, staff and friends are invited to join in celebrating LR’s rich history, the momentum of today and a future that continues to shine ever brighter.
