Forensic Studies Minor
The Forensic Studies minor provides you with an interdisciplinary understanding of the intersection between psychology, criminal justice and the law. You will explore how psychological science informs investigative practices, courtroom procedures and the evaluation of offenders and victims. Through coursework in psychology, philosophy, political science and criminal justice, you will strengthen your critical thinking skills, develop ethical awareness and learn to apply behavioral science in real-world legal contexts.
This minor responds to growing demand for professionals trained in behavioral analysis, criminal investigation and justice system processes. As fields such as forensic psychology, legal consulting and criminal profiling continue to expand, employers increasingly seek individuals who can combine scientific reasoning with legal knowledge and ethical decision-making.
Minor Requirements
The Forensic Studies minor requires 24 hours (8 classes) and consists of the following.
