Sara Piercy joined Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2022 as an assistant professor of nursing. She is a doctorally prepared, board-certified family nurse practitioner with a clinical background in hospital medicine, intensive care and progressive care nursing. She maintains an active clinical practice as a nurse practitioner and is a co-owner of a medical practice specializing in wellness and aesthetic medicine.
Prior to joining Lenoir-Rhyne, Piercy worked as a nurse practitioner for a hospitalist group in acute medicine. Her professional experience combines nursing education, advanced practice and clinical leadership across academic, hospital and outpatient settings.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and traveling.
