    Remote Instruction Continues  – Thursday-Friday, Jan. 29-30

    Remote instruction will continue on Thursday and Friday for Hickory and Asheville locations.

    This decision reflects our ongoing priority to support the safety of our community as weather conditions evolve across the region. By making a decision about Friday now, we aim to provide clarity and allow everyone to plan accordingly.

    Important reminders:

    • Faculty: Continue to communicate directly with students regarding course expectations.

    • Staff: Remain in contact with your supervisors regarding work arrangements.

    We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and care for one another as we navigate these conditions together.

    We will continue to monitor the forecast and will communicate any additional updates as needed.

From Hickory, NC

  • Take I-40 W, for about 69 miles
  • Keep right to take exit 53B for Interstate 240 W/U.S. 74 Alternate W toward Asheville
  • Keep left, follow signs for UNC Asheville and merge onto I-240 W
  • Take exit 4C toward Haywood St/Montford Ave
  • Merge Right onto Cherry St N
  • Turn Right onto Montford Avenue
  • Lenoir-Rhyne Asheville Campus is (the face brick building) on the left. We are in the same building as the Asheville Visitors’ Center, Parking is behind the building

From Knoxville, TN

  • Take I-40 E
  • Keep right to stay on I-40 E as you enter North Carolina
  • Stay on I-40 E till you get to Exit 46 B
  • Use Exit 46B to merge onto I-240 E/ I-26 W towards Asheville
  • Take Exit 4C for Haywood Street towards Montford Avenue.
  • Turn Right and pass the Hotel Indigo.
  • At the light take a right and cross the bridge.

From Johnson City, TN

  • Take I-26 E towards Asheville for about 59 miles
  • Use the middle lane to merge 240E/ U.S. 70-E
  • Take Exit 4 C for Haywood Street towards Montford Avenue
  • Turn Right and pass the Hotel Indigo.
  • At the light take a right and cross the bridge.

From Greenville, SC

  • Use U.S- 276 W towards U.S.-25 N.
  • Follow U.S.-25 N into North Carolina and keep going merge onto I-26 W
  • Use the Left 2 lanes to take the U.S-25/ I-26 W exit.
  • Continue to follow I-26 W for about 22 miles.
  • Keep right at the fork to stay on I-26 W/ I-240
  • Continue on I-240 E, and keep left.
  • Turn Right and pass the Hotel Indigo.
  • At the light take a right and cross the bridge.
