Lenoir-Rhyne trustees unanimously approves new strategic plan

The Lenoir-Rhyne University Board of Trustees has unanimously approved the Shine Ever Brighter Strategic Plan, marking a major milestone in the university’s future-focused vision.

The plan was presented by Cat Niekro, vice president of advancement and communications, and Harry Titus, associate vice president for student affairs and dean of students, who served as co-chairs of the Strategic Plan Steering Committee. Their presentation highlighted the extensive listening sessions and collaborative work that shaped the plan’s three strategic themes and long-term priorities.

Developed through broad campus and stakeholder engagement, the Shine Ever Brighter Strategic Plan reflects the university’s mission, values and aspirations. The plan will be formally shared with the campus community in January 2026.
