The next step for LR baseball

Baseball Stadium Project

The LR baseball field opened in 1924 and has been home to the Bears baseball team ever since. Over the years, it has seen several major renovations, including the addition of permanent lights, a batting cage and a new top-of-the-line video and scoreboard.

Under first-year head coach Chris Ramirez, we have the opportunity to further enhance the stadium to be among the best facilities in Division II and elevate the experience for our student-athletes and fans.

Project Overview

  • Installation of turf in the infield and outfield to reduce weather impacts, enhance recruiting and improve the health and safety of our student-athletes
  • Addition of 225 chair-back seats with additional seating along the front bleacher aisle for handicap seating
  • All stadium seating will be covered by a canopy
  • Addition of the Dugout Club VIP Box that can hold up to 30 people
  • Addition of the President’s Box with a capacity of 20 for hospitality events
  • New radio room and press box to enhance our live stream and fan experience
  • Upgrades to the hitting facility
  • Installation of new technology for live streaming and player development
Support the Stadium Project

This is an exciting project for our baseball program and our fans and will make the LR baseball field a destination that is in keeping with the stellar tradition of LR athletics.
