Game Day: Talk, Tour, & Tailgate

Experience the excitement of LR football as our team takes on Newberry at Moretz Stadium. Learn more about Lenoir-Rhyne, explore our campus, and join the tradition of LR football that unites our community. Students and two guests receive a complimentary dinner and free game admission.

A Lenoir-Rhyne Christmas

A Lenoir-Rhyne Christmas is an annual tradition on campus. This program features the A Cappella Choir, College Singers, Handbell Choir, and Brass Ensemble. Join us for a reception and Friday’s performance. Students and two guests receive tickets for the 7:30 pm concert.

Experience LR

This event provides accepted students an opportunity to visit campus and learn more about LR; it is for accepted students only. Experience LR provides a unique opportunity to discover why Lenoir-Rhyne is the right choice for your higher education experience.

This event is held the third Monday of February each year for admitted students.

Decision Days

Decision Days are designed to provide accepted students and their families a personalized opportunity to discover more about the exceptional experience that LR offers. We recognize your potential and want you to choose Lenoir-Rhyne for your higher education journey. At Decision Days, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Tour the campus and residence halls
  • Meet individually with our enrollment management team to review their financial aid award
  • Hear from current students about their experiences at LR
  • Engage with faculty members
  • Enjoy a complimentary lunch to connect with other students and staff

Decision Days are held during the months of March and April.

At New Student Orientation, students will have the opportunity to:

  • Learn about LR’s curriculum
  • Meet with a faculty member to review your first semester schedule
  • Learn how to get connected to our campus community

Additional sessions are scheduled for parents and guests to provide valuable information about assisting your student during the transition to LR, including financial aid, campus security, and more.

 Students must submit their enrollment deposit before registering for New Student Orientation.

Plus, you can meet your transfer counselor to begin the transcript evaluation process, meet one-on-one to speak with faculty, and tour campus. We look forward to meeting you and welcoming you to the LR Bear family.

Transfer Tuesday

Second Tuesday of Every Month
1:30 pm - 5 pm

Transfer Tuesdays are designed with the transfer student in mind. The second Tuesday of every month LR will offer transfer students the opportunity to talk with your enrollment counselor and to complete an application on site.

Advanced registration is requested, but not required. Please be sure to bring your college transcripts with you. If you are interested in taking a campus tour, please arrive no later than 2:30 pm.

Getting to LR

For GPS, Please use 625 7th Avenue NE, Hickory, N.C. 28601.

From Interstate 40:
  • Take Exit 125 Lenoir-Rhyne University Exit.
  • Turn North onto Lenoir-Rhyne Blvd.
  • Pass Kickback Jacks and Mellow Mushroom restaurants on the right. Go thru five lights. At the sixth light (7th Avenue, NE) take a left.
  • Go straight through the next light. Campus will be on your right. Go to the end of the block and turn right onto Stasavich Place.
  • Turn immediately into the parking lot on your right, which has reserved parking spaces for Admission visitors.
  • Admission Visitor Parking is directly across the street from the Admission Office (Lohr Hall).
From Charlotte Airport/Gastonia:
  • Take Billy Graham Parkway North (left lane) to I-85 South.
  • Take I-85 South to Gastonia for about 15 minutes.
  • Take US 321 North (Exit 17) and turn left at the light.
  • Take US 321 North until the highway intersects I-40 (Exit 43).
  • Take I-40 East to Exit 125 -- follow directions for From Interstate 40 above.
From Boone:
  • Follow US 321 South.
  • Upon entering Hickory, cross Lake Hickory. Turn left at Clement Boulevard NW (between Racetrac Gas and CVS).
  • Proceed to the second stoplight at 12th Avenue NW.
  • Turn left and follow to the next stoplight (a T-intersection).
  • Turn right onto 6th Street NW.
  • Take the second left onto 9th Avenue NW, proceed through three stoplights, and turn right on 3rdStreet NE.
  • Take an immediate left onto 7th Avenue NE. Proceed up the hill to the stop sign.
  • Turn left onto Stasavich Place and immediately turn in to parking lot on your right.
  • Admission Visitor Parking is directly across the street from the Admission Office (Lohr Hall).
