William West-Davis

Bill West-Davis is a visiting assistant professor of theatre at Lenoir-Rhyne University, where he has contributed to productions such as "The Addams Family" and "Almost, Maine."
A lighting designer by trade, West-Davis also explores scenic and projection design. His work has been featured at Trustus Theatre, The Crowley Theatre, Texas Tech University, Limestone University, Actors Theatre of Charlotte, and Off-Broadway at The Players Theatre in New York City.
His designs have been highlighted in the Southeastern Theatre Conference's Southern Theatre magazine. He received a Meritorious Achievement Award for Excellence in Lighting Design from the Kennedy Center American College Theatre Festival (KCACTF) in 2020. In 2019, he was awarded the National Partners in American Theatre Award and was named runner-up for Excellence in Lighting Design at KCACTF. In 2022, he was also a runner-up for Best Lighting Design in the Broadway World Charlotte Awards.
Outside the classroom and theatre, West-Davis enjoys board games, motorcycling, performance photography, cosplay, 3D printing, and spending time with his wife, Ashley; their son, Oliver; and their corgis, Tucker and Loki.
