Mary Lesser is a professor of economics and finance. Her areas of focus are money, banking and financial markets, and she enjoys using technology to enrich her students’ learning in and out of the classroom. Lesser established and coaches LR’s team in the Federal Reserve’s College Fed Challenge and oversaw the establishment of a student-managed portfolio.   

Lesser came to LR from Iona College, where she earned a Professor Emeritus title. From 1999 to 2009, she was executive director of the Eastern Economic Association, a nonprofit corporation promoting educational and scholarly exchange on economic affairs.
