Chad Spencer

Chad Spencer joined Lenoir-Rhyne University as vice president of enrollment management in April 2026. He leads the university’s enrollment and retention strategies and oversees a unified division that includes undergraduate and graduate enrollment, the registrar and financial aid.

Spencer brings more than 25 years of experience in higher education admission, enrollment strategy and financial aid leadership.

Before returning to LR, Spencer served as vice president for enrollment management at Centre College, where he led initiatives that increased applications, enrollment and net tuition revenue while strengthening retention and student success outcomes. He also held senior admission and financial aid leadership roles at Davidson College, helping manage a financial aid budget exceeding $60 million and developing strategies to improve enrollment yield and student access.

Spencer began his career at Lenoir-Rhyne in the university’s admission and financial aid office and returned to his alma mater in 2026 to help advance the university’s continued growth and long-term sustainability.
