Carla Fowler

Carla Fowler is the director of student support and outreach and has held the role since since 2023. In this position, she supports students on their path to graduation by connecting them with campus resources to aid in their success. Previously, she held the role of director of the Lohr Learning Commons for more 11 years. She was responsible for comprehensive academic support services programming that provides students with additional learning assistance outside of the classroom.

In 2019, Fowler was recognized through the National College Learning Center Association as a Level II professional — one of 56 nationwide — as part of the NCLCA's Learning Center Leadership Certification program. The LCLC program focuses on various levels of practice, training, self-reflection, service and evaluation through four certification levels to provide learning assistance professionals the opportunity to enhance their expertise.
