Brooklyn Haynes joined Lenoir-Rhyne in 2025 and serves as the admission communications specialist. A Hickory native, she is thrilled to return to the area and share her love of higher education with others. Haynes ensures students at all stages of the admission process stay up to date with all things Lenoir-Rhyne, whether that’s reminding them to submit a missing document, telling them more about a program they’re interested in or sharing tips before their first day of class.

Interesting fact: Haynes is a huge Batman fan, having grown up with a dad who passed along his love of the superhero to his children. She owns more than 300 Batman comic books, has a Batman tattoo on her wrist and unironically tells everyone that “The Lego Batman Movie” is her favorite movie of all time.

What I love about LR: “I love Lenoir-Rhyne’s dedication not only to the students but also to giving back to the community. The university is a staple of Hickory and committed to serving both students who grew up passing the bear statue on campus and those new to Western North Carolina.”
