Ben Whisenant


Ben Whisenant is a security officer at Lenoir-Rhyne since 2019. In his role, he strives to make the campus a safe place to live and work for faculty, staff, students and visitors. He is also responsible for maintaining the security of campus buildings, facilities, parking lots, walkways and grounds of the institution.

Previously, Whisenant worked as an animal control officer for Caldwell County for five years and Alexander County for two years. He is also captain at Sawmills Fire and Rescue with more than 10 years of service to the department.

Whisenant is married and has two children.
