LRU Playmakers perform City of Angels

The Lenoir-Rhyne University Playmakers, in partnership with the Lenoir-Rhyne Music Program, will continue their 2015-16 season with a main stage production of the award-winning musical comedy, City of Angels. The play will be performed at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday, February 24 - 27, and 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, February 28 in P.E. Monroe Auditorium.

City of Angels is a jazzy homage to the beloved film noir genre of classic Hollywood movies. The play weaves together two stories: in one plot, a 1940s writer tries to turn his detective novel into a screenplay; the other plot is the fictional movie he’s creating.
