Faculty Position: Generalist with Current Clinical Experience

The Lenoir-Rhyne University College of Health Sciences seeks applications for a full-time appointment in its School of Nursing. Candidates who possess a doctoral degree in Nursing or related area by the time of the appointment will begin with rank of Assistant Professor on a tenure-track line. Otherwise, MSN candidates will begin at the rank of Instructor on a term appointment. The specialty area is generalist with current clinical experience required and will include a combination of classroom and clinical teaching. Ability to be flexible within the clinical area is also preferred.  The appointment is based at the Hickory, NC campus and will begin August 2022. Successful candidates will demonstrate a commitment and capacity for teaching excellence, student mentorship, scholarly and professional engagement, and campus citizenship.

Candidates interested in this position must have strong qualities and experience in teaching seated classes. Preference will be given to candidates with professional and nursing education experience. All candidates must meet the North Carolina Board of Nursing (NCBON) requirements of having two years of full time clinical experience as a registered nurse, and have preparation in teaching and learning principles for adult education, including curriculum development, implementation, and evaluation. This requirement may be met through different avenues as determined through the NCBON.
