Position: Assistant Women’s Basketball Coach
Department: Lenoir-Rhyne Athletics
Reports To: Head Women's Basketball Coach 
Location: Hickory, NC

The Athletic Department at Lenoir-Rhyne University is currently looking for an assistant women’s basketball coach. This individual will assist the head coach with the organization and supervision of all aspects of the women’s basketball program including but not limited to: recruiting, practice, individualized instruction, player development, game planning, organization, scheduling, trip organization, compliance with NCAA policies and regulations, fundraising, alumni relations, community engagement, summer camps, supporting the academic development and graduation of student-athletes and other duties as assigned by the Head Coach.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Collegiate coaching experience
  • Demonstration of successful collegiate recruiting experience
  • Knowledge of NCAA Division II rules and regulations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and effective interpersonal skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • NCAA collegiate coaching experience
  • Experience using software and technology, with preference given to those with experience using Microsoft Office and Synergy
  • Self-starter and ability to multi-task with attention to detail
  • Ability to provide skill instruction and leadership
  • Ability to travel; night and week-end work required
  • Valid driver’s license and the ability to be insured to drive college vehicles required
