Equitable Business Practices Concentration
Through asset-building labs, the equitable business concentration provides small business owners, entrepreneurs, marketing professionals and human resource managers with strategies to cultivate inclusive, equitable economic spaces that close gaps in employment and entrepreneurship.
This culturally competent curriculum equips you with strategies, tools and practices to expose traditionally biased systems and close gaps within economic sectors.
Courses
EB01: Equitable Recruitment Strategies
4 Hours | Asset Lab | $399
In this course, professionals use equity strategies to broaden their understanding and implementation of Affirmative Action and Equal Opportunity Employment to cultivate an environment that recruits, retains and promotes non-majority employees. In the Asset Lab, participants will develop an equitable recruitment plan.
EB02: Building Inclusive Marketing Plans
4 Hours | Asset Lab | $399
In this course, professionals transform their market strategies by aligning their products and/or services with community needs. Participants will learn the fundamentals of transforming marketing and branding to initiate social change. In the Asset Lab, participants will develop an equitable marketing strategy.
EB03: Measuring Organizational Inclusion
4 Hours | Asset Lab | $399
Participants will measure the effectiveness of their organization’s current policies, procedures and barriers to determine the effectiveness of inclusion efforts. Based on these results, participants will learn to establish metrics to cultivate the recruitment, hiring and retention of a diverse workforce. In the Asset Lab, participants will develop an inclusivity recommendation report that can be utilized by the participant’s employer.
