About Lenoir-Rhyne graduate school:
Lenoir-Rhyne offers more than 30 graduate programs across three campus locations. While the University's main campus is located in Hickory, graduate degree programs are also offered on campuses in Asheville, North Carolina, and Columbia, South Carolina. Columbia is also home to LR's Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (LTSS) where programs are provided through the School of Theology.
Most recently, a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice Leadership program was added to the list of graduate degree options. Through the program, students will gain the skills needed to develop, analyze and critique criminal justice policy. Coursework is provided in online and traditional face-to-face classroom settings on the Hickory campus. A Master of Arts in Religious Leadership program was also added during the spring 2018 semester, and is provided in a fully online setting.
LR reached a major milestone in its journey toward becoming the preferred provider of health care professionals in the region, when it graduated the inaugural class of Physician Assistant Studies students in May. The PA program began in January 2016 with the opening of the Wayne B. Powell Health Sciences Complex, a state-of-the-art facility offering advanced, graduate-level training for medical professionals.
Additionally, a Family Nurse Practitioner/Doctor of Nursing Practice program launched this fall, and last year the University's Master of Public Health program received accreditation by the Council on Education for Public Health (CEPH).
The priority application deadline for applying to the spring 2019 term is Dec. 6.
