Meet the Faculty
Dr. Ralph Griffith is an Assistant Professor of Entrepreneurship in the Charles M. Snipes School of Business in the College of Professional and Mathematical Studies and the Director of the Center for Commercial and Social Entrepreneurship at Lenoir-Rhyne University of Hickory, North Carolina. He received a B.A. in political science from Alma College, an M.B.A in integrated management from Northwood University and a Doctorate in Entrepreneurial and Small Business Operations from Baker College.
Dr. Griffith comes to Lenoir-Ryhne University via Delta College in University Center, Michigan where he taught entrepreneurship, management, leadership, and was the coordinator of the Entrepreneurship program. Dr. Griffith has been lead faculty during Summerfuel: Social Entrepreneurship at Oxford University in the UK, Stanford University and Yale University. His teaching interests are in the areas of small business development, entrepreneurship, social enterprise, and strategic planning.
Prior to entering academia, Dr. Griffith has owned and operated a number of ventures. In 2006, he began The Small Business Solutions Group and has since then consulted with hundreds of small to medium size companies.
