Monique A. Taylor is an instructor for the Lenoir-Rhyne Equity and Diversity Institute. A seasoned professional with nearly four decades of higher education, accounting and taxation experience, Taylor’s professional focus has been internal auditing in higher education. She served as chief audit officer at Winston-Salem State University and University of North Carolina, Asheville. She also partnered with the Internal Revenue Service for more than 20 years to develop, manage and direct community volunteer income tax sites.
Taylor is an accomplished accounting instructor and has held adjunct faculty roles at multiple universities and colleges. She currently serves on several Asheville-area nonprofit boards and is the sole proprietor of Taylor Tax & Accounting Service.
