Mia Fowler is the director of the Teaching Scholars program since fall 2021. In her role, she supports education students in the scholarship program designed to inspire future teachers. In addition, Fowler supports collaborative relationships with interdisciplinary faculty colleagues and local school systems engaging in the learning environment. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in business administration and will graduate in December 2022.
Previously, Fowler served as the graduate assistant for student life. She also worked in the career center conducting mock interviews, reviewing résumés and offering career guidance. Fowler has additional experience as an academic coach.
During her undergraduate experience, Fowler cheered at Wingate University and was active with Alpha Xi Delta sorority. Outside of work, she is a pet lover with a 10-pound Shorkie and an avid outdoor enthusiast, spending time at the lake, mountains or beach.
