Cox received the inaugural Leadership Studies Award, which recognizes a graduate student who demonstrates a commitment to personal and professional development, who seeks to live out the values of Lenoir-Rhyne University, and who is dedicated to responsible leadership service to the world. While at LR, she lead the development team to raise a record amount of $19.3 million in cash and commitments in fiscal year 2022, reflecting a remarkable increase of 120 percent year over year. She also lead and oversaw fundraising initiatives for several key capital projects, including the single largest capital campaign in LR history: $18 million renovations to Moretz Stadium.

Prior to Lenoir-Rhyne, Cox served in development positions at Davidson College and Guilford College in North Carolina, as well as at her alma mater and in the nonprofit sector.
