Darsee Heath joined Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2020 and is the current associate director for strategic marketing and communications. In her role, she is the project manager for the Office of Marketing and Communications; plans, writes and edits bi-annual Profile alumni magazine and Southern Bulletin publications, and assists with website strategy, content writing and updates. Previously, she held the role of digital content strategist where she oversaw content delivery across LR digital channels, including institutional and third-party websites. She also managed, monitored and created content for official LR social media channels, wrote and proofread copy for the website as well as Profile magazine and various university communications.

In a career marked by increasing responsibilities, Heath previously worked for North Carolina State University as associate director for communication in the College of Engineering. At NC State, she managed all social media for COE and wrote content for the college website, publications and other media, including postcards, departmental newsletters and programs. Additionally, Heath planned and aided the execution of the bi-annual NC State Engineering magazine and acted as project manager for various annual and non-annual communications, both print and digital.
