Beth Miller serves as a financial aid counselor at Lenoir-Rhyne.
Before returning to LR in July 2018, Miller taught at Catawba County Schools for 34 years. During this time, she taught sixth-grade math and science and was Teacher of the Year at Clyde Campbell Elementary School and Snow Creek Elementary School. Miller held many leadership roles, including building leadership team chairperson at both schools, academically gifted chairperson at both schools and she is state certified in math foundations. As a nationally board-certified teacher, Miller supervised interns and student teachers from Lenoir-Rhyne and Appalachian State University. In addition, Miller was able to use her education from LR in the role of financial aid because she is still working with math and students – her two favorite things.
She has been married to her husband for more than 30 years, and they have two children and one grandchild.

Interesting Fact: I love to cook and entertain. I never pass up a chance to throw a party.
What I Love About LR: Having attended Lenoir Rhyne from 1981 to 1985, I can say that the university holds very dear memories for me. I met some of my best friends here, and I still take deep breaths whenever I walk across the campus because I always think about something good that happened while I was here. LR gave me a fabulous education, and I love bragging on LR whenever I get the chance – LR gets in your blood. Once a Bear, always a Bear!
