A ribbon cutting ceremony was recently held at Lenoir-Rhyne University for the Center for Commercial and Social Entrepreneurship (CCSE). The newly opened Center strives to offer premier entrepreneurial education and serve as a resource for individuals and organizations in all phases of business development. A Student Business Showcase followed the ceremony to highlight some of the innovative businesses developed by students which are or will be starting on the LRU campus. The event was held as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week at LRU.
On Friday, November 21, Rev. Dr. Leonard Bolick, bishop of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, North Carolina Synod, led the blessing and dedication of Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Grace Chapel. The service recognized every donor that helped turn the dream of a university chapel into a reality.
Bishop Bolick was joined by Dean of Campus Ministry and University Pastor, the Rev. Dr. Andrew F. Weisner, as they conducted the service of dedication and blessed each item that had been donated to the Chapel.
