Exploration and creative thinking at center of LRU Kids in College program

Applications are now being accepted for Kids in College, the Lenoir-Rhyne University summer enrichment program. The program will take place June 20 – 24 and will host both elementary and middle school students during the same week this year. All sessions will run from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and lunch will be provided. Any student completing kindergarten through eighth grade is welcome to attend.

“The mission of Lenoir-Rhyne University’s Kids in College is to expose children to the university environment through challenging instructional camps that foster exploration, creative thinking, and enrichment,” said Michael Lemke, Director of Kids in College. 

Sullivan named new head basketball coach at Lenoir-Rhyne

Lenoir-Rhyne University officials announced today that Everick Sullivan has accepted the position of head coach for men’s basketball. An event is scheduled for Tuesday, May 10 at 4 p.m. in McCrorie Center, Room 213 to introduce Coach Sullivan and provide members of the LR campus, Bears Club and extended community the opportunity to meet and talk with him.

Sullivan brings over 12 years of experience as a collegiate basketball coach to LRU. He previously served as associate head coach at Eastern Kentucky, and has spent the last four seasons at Georgia State University as assistant coach, under head coach Ron Hunter.
