LRU Nursing Program receives $153,000 from Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation, Inc. for Student Scholarships
Lenoir-Rhyne University was recently awarded a grant of $153,000 for nursing scholarships from the Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation, Inc. Given to select universities across the southeast, this source of funding is a critical answer to many nursing students who have need for scholarship assisted enrollment.
“It is remarkable that during challenging economic conditions, Lettie Pate Whitehead Foundation, Inc. has increased their support of our nursing student scholarships,” said Dr. Kerry Thompson, school of nursing chair. “We are extremely grateful and honored to enjoy such a wonderful partnership that makes it possible for deserving students to earn their nursing degree.”
