The Reverend Dr. Paul Weber, Professor of Church Music at Lenoir-Rhyne University, was recently recognized for his 35 years of service as an ordained minister. He was honored at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church (HTLC) in Hickory where he serves as an active member, teaching the Resurrection Sunday School class and assisting with services as needed.
The Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (LTSS) of Lenoir-Rhyne University in Columbia, SC will launch a Southern Leadership Summit on Monday, January 5, 2015. Summit meetings will be held the first Monday of the month January through May and September through December on the campus of LTSS from 7:30 to 8:30 am.
The Southern Leadership Summit, co-sponsored by the P.L.A.C.E. Fellows Program at Columbia College, is an initiative established to discuss and promote the importance of leadership as an essential component in highly effective and thriving organizations of all kinds.
The initiative features a monthly breakfast gathering of approximately fifty community leaders in the Midlands who come together for four primary purposes:
Lenoir-Rhyne University students from the Business 366 Sports Marketing class recently traveled to Charlotte to learn more about employment opportunities in the field of sports management. While in Charlotte, the students toured the Bank of America stadium and had the chance to meet Panthers Defensive Player of the Year, Luke Kuechly.
Trips - like this one to Charlotte - offer students the unique opportunity to learn more about their chosen field by meeting and talking with professionals who can share their experiences firsthand.
