HICKORY, N.C. – At the recent 26th Annual ACBSP Conference in Chicago, IL, the Charles M. Snipes School of Business at Lenoir-Rhyne University was recognized as a business program that had earned reaffirmation of accreditation from the Accreditation Council of Business Schools and Programs.
Originally receiving ACBSP Accreditation in 2002, the Charles M. Snipes School of Business will now be accredited for the next ten years. To complete the reaffirmation process site visits occurred in the fall of 2012 and fall of 2013, and an extensive self-study was completed.
“The Reaffirmation of our ACBSP Accreditation confirms what has been offered by Lenoir-Rhyne since 1901, when the ten-year old college began offering business programs because the local business community needed well-prepared managers, accountants, financiers, and marketers,” said Dr. A. Dale King, Jefferson-Pilot Professor of Business at LRU. “We are both professionally and academically qualified with faculty who serve as consultants and accountants in the business community.”
The certificate was accepted by Dr. David Jones, Assistant Professor of Business and MBA Coordinator at LRU, and was awarded to Dr. J. Wayne King, Professor Emeritus and ACBSP Member Emeritus, and Dr. A. Dale King.LRU News | No Comments
