Doctor who assisted with examination of Anthrax victims to present at LRU

The public is invited to a presentation by Dr. Sherif Zaki, Chief of Infectious Disease Pathology at the Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) on Thursday, September 26th starting at 4:00 in Belk Centrum on the Lenoir-Rhyne University campus.

Dr. Zaki headed the CDC Pathology Team who assisted in the examination and documentation of the 2001 Anthrax victims. He is globally recognized as an expert in Infectious Disease Pathology and clinical effects of Bioterrorism. Dr. Zaki will be discussing the pathological diagnosis of biologic agents and epidemic diseases.

This event is free and open to the public.
