What's Hickory Really Like?
There’s no better place to rise up. Small city. Big opportunities. That’s the word on Hickory.
Whether you’re into the arts, or business, or baseball (Hickory has its own minor league team), you’ll find everything you want right here. Hickory is a lively, thriving community, with plenty of places to hang out – restaurants, coffee houses, and movie theaters – as well as employment opportunities. (Hello, internship!)
And if you’re a nature lover, you couldn’t be in a better spot. Hickory is nestled the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains, close to the Appalachian Trail and ideally situated for hiking, biking, kayaking, sailing, you name it. For more urban entertainment, it’s an easy drive to Asheville, Charlotte, or Greensboro. Even Atlanta is only about four hours away.
